The
Garden
The garden at La Dogana is wild and mysterious
and is home to many wild animals including
porcupines and wild boar. Don't worry, the
boar are quite shy and will only come when
the house is empty! The Nestore river, which
runs along the southern perimeter of the garden,
is a haven of water wild life including fish,
frogs (and tadpoles) and freshwater crabs.
There are many fruit trees (quince, fig, apple,
pear and plum) and plenty of shady spots to
sit on a hot summer's day. A stone paved path,
which is lit at night, leads through the lawns
and trees to the pool. |
